So it has happened again, I've bought some new (to me anyway) wheels but this time I went really nuts lol. Finally got
myself a set of staggered rims, nice OZ 5 spoke black units but er turns out I got kinda the wrong widths and/or offsets. Let me begin with
the facts.
A lot of folks go with 8inch fronts and 9inch rears and to be honest I suspect this is more to do with availability. I got mine with ET35
which meant I had to roll the rear arches to stop it rubbing and destroying the rear tyres. I'm only running 245x40x17's but I could
in theory run 275's on this size of rim. I'm unlikely to do this so in fact an 8j with an ET30 or 8,5j rim ET35. Fronts, 7j ET30
would be pretty good I reckon.
So currently running front: 17 x 8j ET35 with 215x40 Goodyear F1, rears 17 x 9j ET35 with 245x40 Goodyear F1 - had to roll the rear arches.
Anyways, some pics
