So I've had the car for 3 years now and one thing that has always bothered me is the front number plate. I mean it's required but does it really have to THAT size.
Eventually I decided to do something about it and set about removing the front plate. Now mine was just stuck on using those double sided pads so the first issue was how to get them off without ruining the bumper. Turns out dental floss. Yup just pull a length of that, wrap the ends round a couple of screwdrivers (to protect your fingers) and basically cheese saw the darned thing off. I was then left with
Well doesn't that look just lovely. No it bloody doesn't. Luckily I had plenty of White Spirit and a lot of sweat, swearing and grunting managed to get the result below. Note white trainers lol.
Unfortunately the front bumper is a bit of a mess from general wear and tear and no doubt some extra work will have to been done on that next year. However I did fit the JDM plate part No. 52121-17030 and with a plate the correct size I ended up with
