Ok, if the t-bars on your lovely MR2 are leaking you can either use the cling film trick or you can use the eccentric tbar guides found here or you can modify the mounting positions for the guides as attached to the car. Very cheap mod and quick effective too, doesn't leave any residue on the car either. I've included some text and pics below of how I did this. Credit for this goes to Paul aka black gts for providing the idea and trialling it. The thread with the details is here
All that's needed to do this mod is some thin washers from your local hardware store. To get the right washers I removed one of the bolts and got washers to suit. The guide below is how I did it, might not be the best way or even the right way but it's a guide. Proceed at your own risk

For the rear most T bar bracket First step is to remove the seatbelt from the door pillar. The 14mm bolt is under the cover so slip a narrow flat bladed screwdriver under the cover and gently prise up. It will pivot far enough for you to get the rachet in, 14mm socket
remove the seatbelt bolt
next remove the coat hanger screw, just prise up the cover with said flat bladed screwdriver and then er unscrew the screw
remove the coat hanger cover and screw
so next we need to remove the speaker trim. Er just use the screwdriver and gently prise it away from the interior.
remove the speaker trim
Once done you'll see the two screws holding on the trim that runs up the door / window pillar. Remove the 2 screws and gently prise it away from the car body. You can move it far enough back to get into the tbar socket bolts. 10mm socket required. Once there you'll figure it out easy enough. Just remember to put the washers against the body side of the bracket! otherwise you'll need to take it apart again hehe
remove the door pillar trim by removing the two screws
Refit is just retrace your steps above. Passenger side is the same for the rear most bracket.
The front trim just prises away from the pillar, the passenger side remove the grab handle first. Front bracket shown below

Cheers paul for the trail blazing. Now I'm just waiting on rain, in Scotland, go figure.

Update

No leaks so far and it's been chucking it down for nigh on 7 wks. Excellent result
