So you've decided on those nice new alloys and now you need to fit rubber to them. Would be nice if the speedo retained its accuracy or at least was something like in the correct region. Now there are plenty of guides out there that allow you to compare your standard tyre / rim combination against another size. The most popular one out there I would say is Chris Longhurst's Car Bibles site which is just fabby. This is a great source of info and includes a tyre calculator that allows you to check your new wheel combo against the current setup. Also included is a rim width calculator which tells you what tyres fit on which rims. Thing is though, all these guides / calculators really only allow one check at a time and rely on you keying in each known tyre combo.

However, it's a chore entering each tyre combo and then checking the speedo run outso with this in mind I developed the following which I hope will be of use to some folks out there. The other thing to worry about is the offset and width combination of your chosen alloys. Rather than repeat what is already out there I'd suggest a good look on MR2OC since somebody produced an excellent guide for the mk2. This article can be found at MR2OC alloy fitment guide and some great pictures of mr2's with just about every wheel you could want US MR2 oc. Since I own an MR2 which has different sized rims front and rear I've modified the page to allow you to see the results of different tyre sizes side by side for both axles. Obv this works for any car with different sized rims front to rear.
